Pumpkin and Cranberry Smoothie

 

Can I tell you something? I have not been on my best behavior when it comes to my diet during the holiday season. It all started with Halloween and I just couldn’t put down the cookies or candy after that. I must admit with all the savory and sweet treats. I did over indulge during the season and put on a few pounds. Did any of you have the same problem?

Pumpkin and Cranberry Smoothie I don’t feel guilty about the weight gain at all. That’s because I did a lot of cardio and yoga (still attempting my handstand)! Now it’s time to clean up my diet and get back to eating balance and nutritious meals. I am not saying it’s going to be easy but I am determine to shed some holiday weight.

Pumpkin and Cranberry Smoothie I still have a few bags of cranberries left and some left over pumpkin puree. The best way to add veggies and fruits to your diet is drinking smoothies. This was a refreshing treat, the tartness of the berries and the flavor of the pumpkin make this smoothie a delightful meal.

Pumpkin and Cranberry Smoothie Pumpkin and Cranberry Smoothie Recipe:
1 cup cranberries
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 banana
1 packet stevia
2 cups milk (I used almond)
Ice (Optional)
Recipe Directions: Set aside two cups and add ice. In a blender blend pumpkin and cranberries; add banana and stevia.  Blend until all the ingredients are incorporated. Slowly add milk to the blender and blend until the mixture becomes creamy. Place in cups and serve.

    Hehe, we totally over did it during the holidays too with all the treats and heavy meals but that’s awesome that you kept up with your workouts so that makes it totally okay :)
    Smoothies and greens are just what I need lately and this one sounds wonderful with the cranberries and pumpkin puree :) Love the pretty color too!

    Such a perfect combination of pumpkin puree and cranberries! A perfect wintery smoothie! I agree with Kelly, such a beautiful color, you’re reminding me of fall already!
