I love Lara bars ! I always have been addicted to them and feel the pain in my pocket after I buy five different flavors. I realized today when I went to purchase a few that I have tried every flavor they have to offer. Pt got me to thinking that maybe I could create a new flavor of my own. I deiced on banana because I had a craving for banana and chocolate chips and I would have use almonds but I did not have any so I used the next best thing..
The dried banana chips really gave a great amount of banana flavor without being overpowering…
I would suggest using mini chocolate chips for this recipe it will save you lot of time and heartache; if only I would have listen to my own advice.
Unfortunately since I did not listen to my own advice my Lara bars turned into “Lara balls” they are great for storage and I wanted to eat them all but had to restrain myself I cannot say that much for my country man…
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup medjool dates
- 3/4 cup dried bananas
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Place sunflower seeds, medjool dates, and dried banana chips into food processor and let blend while adding vanilla extract. Dumb the mixture and chocolate chips into a pan and form, place it into the freezer for a minute once the mixture is firm cut into bars.
